Editorial strategist, writer & multimedia storyteller
I turn complex ideas into stories people actually care about —across audio, video, newsletters, social, and editorial content.

In February 2024, I returned to China to explore my birth country, language, and culture.
Since then, I’ve been at NYU Shanghai producing multimedia stories across social, editorial, newsletters, and video — including the occasional attempt to convince you to pack your bags and enroll at (arguably) the best university in China ;)
Before moving abroad, I was a public radio journalist. My mornings began at 3:30 a.m. — just me, a microphone, and the hum of a quiet studio before sunrise. I spent years nestled between padded sound booths and long drives beneath Michigan’s dark winter skies, hosting and producing NPR’s Morning Edition on WKAR-FM, the NPR member station serving Michigan’s Capital Region. In that role, I became the first Asian American to host the daily news program in WKAR’s 100-year history.
As a Chinese American adoptee, much of my reporting explores identity & belonging — from stories on Lunar New Year as reclamation to how transracial adoptees navigate questions of family, identity, and reproductive choice. My work has aired on BBC Radio 4 and NPR’s Morning Edition and Weekend Edition.
Lately, I’ve been making video essays what it means to return home to ourselves.
